So now I have to deal with it now allowing me to downlaod games because supposedly I don't have enough space? Like i would have 20 GB and would want to download lets Say Minecraft just pretend which is lets say 10gb. Thank you for your patience while we work on the solution! The workaround involves reinstalling the game and keeping the saves.

Once the patcher builds a "patched" data archive, the old archive is replaced and the space is freed up. Basically, the games take up so much space nowadays, that in order to have them take up less space at other times, they need to take up twice the space when patching.

So when a multiplayer GAAS game gets updates these days the download mostly takes 30 seconds, while the copying needs minutes. Oct 25, 4, England.
